Certificate Program
Each program is delivered online and through a blended format (hybrid) which includes both online and face-to-face instruction. Hollywood Education Institute can only accept students who live in California (state of residence).
English Communication and Management Certificate
48 quarter credit hours
English Communication and Management equips you with the necessary language skills and management training to excel in professional settings. It covers essential areas like business writing, negotiation tactics, public speaking, building professional networks, and crafting reports and proposals. The program enhances your professional vocabulary and comprehension through specialized reading materials. This program also delves into the fundamentals of management, providing a well-rounded foundation for success. This is a 1-year program.
In order to complete a program, a student must:
1) Satisfactorily complete the 16 courses including all core courses and select elective courses.
2) Maintain a 2.0 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
Upon Completion of the Certificate in English Communication and Management, students will be able to successfully:
• Develop writing, speaking, and presentation skills for business contexts, including crafting clear and concise reports, proposals, and emails, delivering engaging presentations, and confidently participating in meetings and negotiations.
• Explain core management functions and demonstrate their application through case studies and real-world scenarios.
• Enhance business and management vocabulary to communicate accurately and confidently.
• Learn to analyze business situations, make informed decisions, and solve problems effectively in a professional setting.
• Develop the ability to adapt communication styles and approaches to diverse cultural and professional settings, ensuring effective and respectful interactions across different contexts.
Total 48 quarter credit hours of the courses structure are as follows:
Core Courses – 27 quarter credit hours
Elective Courses – 21 quarter credit hours
Online

Students attend live, in-person classes with experienced instructors while also completing online coursework and assignments outside of class. This format allows students to receive individualized support and guidance from instructors while also providing the flexibility and convenience of online learning.
